Our Mission
For decades, waste recycling professionals have had to rely on construction certifications and courses that are often ill-suited to the day to day realities of a waste recycling operation.
Representing more than 90 Queensland-based waste recycling organisations of every size, WRIQ understands better than anyone how critical specialised training is to the people in our industry, and we are committed to making a difference.
Our goal is to empower people in every part of the waste recycling industry, including those who work at major landfills, transfer stations and resource recovery facilities (including advanced manufacturing).
Our Board
Waste Recycling Academy Queensland is governed by Waste Recycling Industry Queenland (WRIQ). With a board that consists of wide representation across all areas of the waste recycling industry, our commitment to providing specialised training to support all waste recycling workers runs deep.
Part of WRAQ’s mandate is to ensure that all training is provided by those with real-world waste recycling experience and that all profits will be used to improve training opportunities for waste recycling employees.
