Course Description
Delivery: Face-to-face at customer worksite.
Timeframe: Minimum 2 VOCs per day at 2 hours per VOC
The Verification of Competency (VOC) is an assessment so a person can demonstrate that they have gained knowledge and understanding through a training process and can competently operate assigned vehicles to the required standards. The VOC is conducted by a competent person who has acquired through training, qualification, or experience (or a combination of these) the knowledge and skills for the person to safely perform the task being assessed. The assessor is to hold the qualification TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or subsequent versions of the qualification. The assessment is not an authorising or licencing process and does not align to the national qualification’s framework. TSG has developed pro-forma VOC documents including front-lift, rear lift, hook truck, side lift. Thes proformas documents can be tailored to align with company operating practices and procedures. Alternatively, the business can provide their own VOC. Each VOC requires the driver to go with the person being assessed as they perform their work – generally 2 hours. Assessments are coordinated with supervisors to ensure efficiency and transfer from vehicle to vehicle.
Course Outcome: Signed VOC forms.
